Triple Threat Elite Series
All Triple Threat Elite Series packages are constructed to better accommodate the schedules of our TADA families while growing the vital skills of our musical theater students. Education in the 3 core areas of Acting on Stage, Dance Technique and Performance, and Vocal Development is essential for those who wish to excel in the performing arts. In Studio Demo in December, Recital in May.
Triple Threat I:
Ages: 6-12 yr.
This is for a beginning level theater student that wants to begin a well-rounded, triple-threat performer path. Emphasis is on terminology, character development, basic vocal technique, and building a strong base for performance choreography.
WHAT YOU GET WEEKLY: Acting, Dance and Voice in one 2 hr session per week!
Intro to Acting: This class will focus on the fundamentals of acting. Students will learn stage terminology and basic acting principles such as stage directions, blocking and memorization techniques. Basic scene work and improvisation games will be incorporated to encourage teamwork and give students a chance to put their new skills into practice. Most students will spend a minimum of 2-3 sessions at this level and advance upon teacher approval.
Broadway Dance I: This Jazz/Ballet combo class is a creative and fun introduction to dance. This class explores movement and musical rhythms with imagery and fun Broadway tunes to excite and motivate students. Basic Ballet terminology and technique, simple musical theater jazz combos and across the floor movement is taught. Most students will spend a minimum of 2-3 sessions at this level and advance upon teacher approval.
Broadway Voice I: The joy of singing is the focus on this class for beginning singers. Students learn how their body functions as a musical instrument and are taught basic singing skills. Students develop their unique sound, vocal range and learn the foundation to becoming strong and confident singers. Keeping the voice healthy and growing is a key component of this class. Most students will spend a minimum of 2-3 sessions at this level and advance upon teacher approval.
Triple Threat II
Ages: 12 + up
This package is for a beginning to intermediate level theater student that wants to pursue a well-rounded, triple-threat performer path. Emphasis is on subsets of acting skills, character development, vocal development with presentation and building a strong base for performance choreography.
WHAT YOU GET WEEKLY: Acting, Dance and Voice in one 2 hr session per week!
Acting for Stage II: Special emphasis is placed on developing the student’s listening and reacting skills as they begin to work with scene partners. Using the works of contemporary playwrights, students will focus on discovering elements in the script that serve as the basis for characterization. Improvisation and character development are both key components to this class. A favorite among students! 2-3 sessions at this level before advancing upon the teacher's approval.
Broadway Dance II: Designed for the beginning to intermediate dancer, this Jazz/Ballet combo class incorporates technique and interpretation of all styles of dance seen in Broadway shows. Vocal capacity, characterization through movement, Jazz and Ballet technique, flexibility, and rhythm are emphasized through across the floor exercises and simple combinations.
Broadway Voice II: This class focuses on proper breathing, voice placement, projection, diction, intonation, and audition preparation. Students learn the fundamentals of harmonies, how to keep the voice healthy, how to read music, and expression and interpretation of lyrics. Students also work with their teacher to choose their own Broadway Musical songs, which they use for improving vocal techniques. Most students will spend a minimum of 2-3 sessions at this level and advance upon teacher approval.
